PE Dance and Gymnastic lessons/CPD
Rise has a passion for delivering lessons in dance and gymnastics in schools that inspire and are inclusive for all students, showing them how they can use dance to link with all topics they are studying at school, in lots of genres. Teaching and perfecting basic dance movements but also empowering them to be creative and build their own ideas to choreograph sequences. In gymnastics we deliver lessons that support students to learn new skills and freedom to explore and discover how the different apparatus can be used with gymnastics. In both dance and gymnastic lessons we learn to work individually, in pairs or small groups, also giving performance opportunities of skills and routines learnt.

We offer to come into Primary schools to deliver lessons to students on a weekly basis and/or to deliver lessons as part of CPD for staff to gain confidence and ideas to be able to deliver themselves in the future.

Extra-Curricular dance and gymnastic clubs for schools
We can provide dance and gymnastic clubs to support your schools extra-curricular provision, working with all key stages. We were recently able to be able to support St Maxentius with one of the clubs representing the school in the Bolton School Dance Festival at the Albert Halls.
Deputy Headteacher
Liesl is a truly inspirational dance teacher, making dance accessible for all primary ages. She has an infectious enthusiasm that empowers even the least confident children to fully take part and perform to their potential. She has provided many of the children opportunities to take part in performances outside of school, in addition to the performances during the term for the parents. There has only ever been positive feedback from the children and their parents, as she endeavours to make every dance session as enjoyable as possible with her cheerful, positive manner and her highly skilled dance teaching.
PE lead, Primary School
Liesl has provided CPD for staff for a number of years. She is professional and has a thorough knowledge of the primary dance and gymnastics curriculum. She sought out our behaviour and feedback policies and always asks for topics to be covered, well before CPD sessions begin. She provides lesson plans promptly to support staff and caters for all abilities to encourage inclusivity. She supports staff via team teaching so that they can implement skills Liesl has taught. Staff who have received CPD, have expressed that they are more confident teaching dance and gymnastics and resources provided have been very useful and support their teaching. Liesl has previously run a very well attended dance club at school and provided the children with the opportunity to display their skills at a very well organised dance festival.
Head Teacher
A huge thankyou to Liesl for her professional service. She works with such passion and dedication and is able to get the very best out of all the children she works with. Her positivity is contagious and her expertise is to be admired. In a matter of weeks she was able to expertly choreograph a number of dances all of which linked to the curriculum covered. She developed the children’s confidence and self esteem enabling them to perform with conviction and pride. The sessions were thoroughly enjoyed by all and the performances brought tears of joy to the eyes of many parents.
Year 2 Teacher
Liesl has been leading the Dance and Gymnastics sessions with my Year 2 class since September 2022. She has such a lovely and positive rapport with the children and they look forward to their PE session with her each week.
Gymnastics - Her subject knowledge is outstanding and I enjoy learning from her for my own professional development.
Dance sessions - We love how Liesl incorporates games within the dance sessions to break up the learning and she keeps the children engaged with the fun activities.
