dance

Our dance classes focus on learning routines to popular chart music, and also songs to also fit into our annual show theme. Dance style taught is street/commercial. The classes includes learning routines, a fun game or challenge and platform for the children to express their own dance style and work with friends to create their own sequences sometimes too.

acro

Acro combines a whole host of great skills, in classes we develop our strength, flexibility, Balance and co-ordination. When building and developing these skills it enables students to perform gymnastic based tumbling and tricks. Some of the lower level, basic skills first learnt are; rolls, cartwheels, bridges then developing more advanced moves in time such as walkovers, head stands, back handsprings etc. We also enjoy working on individual, partner and group balances too.

musical theatre

Musical Theatre is a popular art that combines skills in dancing, singing and acting. Our classes include activities and games that develop children’s confidence, learning and discussion about Musicals/performances and then learning routines to show off the skills they are learning that will be part of our annual shows.

TESTIMONIAL

Our daughter Everlie started at Rise tots class when she was just 2 years old as an activity for us both to meet new people... She has been a member of the Rise Dance family for 7 years! Now at 9 years old she enjoys the Dance and Acro classes every week. Her confidence has grown massively each year! She's made great friends and feels a part of something special. She loves taking part in the yearly dance show, the Christmas performances and the Acro competitions. We love the support Liesl, Ellie and all the children give each other. She genuinely looks forward to the classes every Thursday and always has done. We wouldn't send her anywhere else.
